Meet Ms McD

Ms McD enjoys hiking adventures with her camera when she is not in the classroom.

¡Bienvenido!  I teach Spanish to PreK through Eighth grade at a small private school in West Virginia.  I started the job in 2008, fresh out of college with a Spanish Minor, and was tasked with building a Spanish program from the ground up with very little guidance and few resources.  Through trial and error, I have created a strong, ever-changing, program that meets the needs of my multi-grade classes each year.  I have found various resources along the way, but the one thing I always fall back on is my own knowledge and materials.  The majority of my worksheets, quizzes, materials, and games are made by me!  My students go on to do very well in the public high school, often starting in Spanish 2 or Spanish 3 as 9th graders.

I decided to start this blog in order to help other Elementary/Middle School Spanish teachers who might be having trouble finding resources and would like to take advantage of the materials that I have created over the years.  These materials would also be useful to any Homeschool families who would like to incorporate Spanish into their lessons.

I will sometimes upload free materials to this blog, other times I will include links to my Teachers Pay Teachers page.

As a teacher of multi-grade classrooms, I understand the need for adaptability from year to year and class to class, and love being able to create lesson plans tailored to the interests of any given group of children.  Given that, I am happy to create lessons/materials for you, to suit your needs at any level from PreK through HS Spanish 2.  Send me an email at msmcdspanish@gmail.com letting me know what kind of vocabulary you would like materials for (vehicles, animals, shopping, etc), and if you would like it paired with a specific grammar skill.  I will send you a reply stating how long I think the project will take me to complete (1-4 weeks), and what the cost will be, based on how many hours I expect it to take me, and how many pages the completed project is.  The finished project will be added to my TpT Store so that you and others may benefit from it.
